Afshan Qashqai

I am a candidate of analytical psychotherapy at the Tehran Psychoanalytic Studies Center. I completed my bachelor’s degree in clinical psychology at Shiraz University and my master’s degree in clinical psychology with a focus on family therapy at Tehran University of Science and Culture, and I have been teaching standard psychoanalysis for several years now.

From 2015 to 2017, I worked as a researcher at the Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and as a psychologist at a center affiliated with the University of Medical Sciences, and I have conducted research in various areas of mental health and aging. According to international psychoanalytic standards, I have started my personal analysis with an object relations approach since 2015 (which continues), and since 2016, I have been systematically trained professionally at the Tehran Psychoanalytic Studies Center.

I also enrolled in a comprehensive course on Freud’s fundamental concepts under the supervision of Dr. Hossein Mojtahedi at the Siavushan Psychological Services Center in 2012. I am currently working in my private practice as an individual therapist and benefit from the guidance of my supervisors in both individual and group clinical work. My interests include research and translation in the specialized fields of psychoanalysis.
